Stair posts and rail

The team made a big push on Saturday to get some progress on the stairs. The stair design is an elaborate one and therefore takes a good deal of time, but the final effect will be amazing.

Here is a photo (not of our house) which shows the look we are going for

The finish plumbing is now well underway. The sinks and faucets have been installed in most locations.

Also, the team is working hard on the staircase, which is complex and will take us right to the end of our schedule.

Things are cooking now. The great room fireplace stonework has been completed, the dirt has been hydroseeded, the outside stairs have been poured and most of the bathroom tile has been grouted. See for yourself.

Door and Window Trim, Flooring and Tile

More tile and flooring work has been completed as well as 20% of the door and window casings and trim. Additionally, all the cabinets are staged for installation on Monday. The master bathroom tub surround is looking particularly awesome with the mosiac travertine tiles applied.

We are also watering the dirt around the property all weekend to prepare for the hydroseeding outfit which will give us some instant vegitation.

As always, here are a few photos, but there are plenty more off to the right in the Flickr bar.

The upstairs (kids) bathroom tile was completed today as well as the Australian Cypress flooring in our master bath. Both look great. Sorry for the camera phone photos.
