Tile backsplash, hearth, more stairs and lawn

The tilers were in yesterday to put in the kitchen backsplash glass tiles and the fireplace hearth. I also nabbed some additional photos of the stairs and the lawn, which is growing strong now.

Stair posts and rail

The team made a big push on Saturday to get some progress on the stairs. The stair design is an elaborate one and therefore takes a good deal of time, but the final effect will be amazing.

Faucets and sinks

The finish plumbing is now well underway. The sinks and faucets have been installed in most locations.

Also, the team is working hard on the staircase, which is complex and will take us right to the end of our schedule.

Countertops

The countertops are in! They are all made of a quartz material.

Flooring and more tile

The vertical grain bamboo flooring has been installed in the upstairs kids bedrooms and the master shower tile has now been completed after the “tile-in” storage shelves arrived from special order.

Fireplace, Hydroseed, Stairs and Grout

Things are cooking now. The great room fireplace stonework has been completed, the dirt has been hydroseeded, the outside stairs have been poured and most of the bathroom tile has been grouted. See for yourself.
