Welcome!

Starting this blog to capture the ups/downs and all arounds of building a custom home. Expect to see photos, journal entries and of course progress updates. I hope to be able to share these accounts with others and look back at them later when the project is finished.

BACKGROUND:
We are starting a custom home project in Snohomish, Wa. The home is going to be a cedar wood home from Pan Abode Homes. These homes come in kits and use Pan Abode’s famous 5 board glu-lam timbers which give solid wood exterior walls.

My family consists of two adults, two children under two and a dog. Our selection criteria is home with somewhere around 2500sqft and a few unfinished spaces if our family continues to grow.

Our raw land is just shy of one acre and currently has a mobile home set on it. The utilities as well as the septic system are functioning and in good order.
